SHELF TRAY

Present the product more neatly and prominently on the shelf.

We design shelving trays that group products within their designated areas, maintain shelf arrangement, and clearly define branded spaces. With solutions tailored to product dimensions and store shelf space, we transform standard shelving into more controlled sales areas.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC SHELF TRAY DESIGN

Don't leave the product's placement on the shelf to chance.

On standard store shelves, products are constantly picked up, put back in place, and moved in different directions throughout the day. We consider the shelf tray not merely as a carrier under the product, but as a functional display element that maintains the order of the product group on the shelf.
By considering tray width, depth, product count, and packaging geometry together, we create a structure that ensures products remain organized within their allocated space.

The front panel, side panels, separators, and, if necessary, rear support pieces can all be designed within the same system. This allows for control not only over the physical placement of products but also over the visual boundaries of the brand on the shelf.
By considering material, color, printing, and form decisions together with product packaging, we develop solutions that function not as an afterthought on the shelf, but as a natural part of the product presentation.

Precise Placement Based on Packaging

By determining tray dimensions based on product width, depth, and the target number of products on the shelf, we create a controlled arrangement without unnecessary gaps.

Gather your product group in one place.

We reduce the mixing of products with neighboring brands using tray borders and separators, and make brand-specific shelf sections more legible.

The Same Standard in Hundreds of Locations

By finalizing the measurements and connections during the sample phase and transferring them to mass production, we maintain the same product placement on trays sent to different stores.

Designed for Intensive In-Store Use

We develop durable shelving solutions that maintain their form and function during daily store use, taking into account product picking and placement movements.

The shelf tray defines the product's designated area.

Simply having a product on the shelf is not the same as presenting it correctly on the shelf. Especially in categories where many packages of similar size are placed side-by-side, products can quickly become mixed up, shift to the front or side, and disrupt the shelf arrangement planned for the brand.
The shelf tray reduces this clutter by defining a physical placement area for the product group. While products are kept within the defined width, the front-facing application also supports the brand's presence on the shelf. Depending on the need, separators can be added between products, different SKUs can be divided into separate channels within the same tray, or details can be created to help the packages move forward in an organized manner.
This structure offers advantages, particularly in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food, cleaning, and fast-moving consumer goods categories, where numerous small to medium-sized packages are displayed on the same shelf. The goal is not to surround the product, but to create an organized, readable, and brand-specific shelf area where the customer can easily find the product they are looking for.

A Good Shelf Tray Is Finalized on the Shelf Before Production

In the shelf tray development process, simply taking the external dimensions of the product is not enough. How the packaging will be retrieved from the shelf, how many products can be placed side-by-side and back-to-back, the usable depth of the shelf, how the products will be refilled, and the accessibility for store employees directly influence design decisions.
Therefore, we first design the project based on product placement. After creating the external dimensions and internal compartments of the tray, we determine the front height, separator locations, connection points, and graphic areas. Tests conducted with real products during the prototyping phase allow us to see if the theoretical dimensions work correctly in shelf use.
In mass production, the goal isn't simply to manufacture a large number of the same part. Each tray sent to different stores must repeat the same product quantity, the same arrangement, and the same brand appearance. Therefore, we plan the entire process, from production tolerances to packaging, according to the final use of the product in the store.
